So easy to get in2it

I shall make a checklist now. That’s my task.

Your task is to mentally tick all items that apply!

  1. You are always bored.
  2. You want to do a specific activity (say, mountain climbing) but your buddies aren’t into it.
  3. You want to find a boyfriend.
  4. You want to find a girlfriend.
  5. Okay, fine, you just want to make more friends or network.
  6. You want to know what’s fun to do in Singapore.
  7. You enjoy having a sense of belonging.
  8. You need more hobbies.
  9. You like taking part in contests and winning prizes.

That’s enough for now. Done?

Now, I shall tell you what this is all about.

See, if you placed even one tiny tick on any of the above items, it means you should check out this place called! =D

It’s a lifestyle portal which helps connect people who have the same interests!

So, I just signed up for fun. See, here’s my profile page:

There’s a buddy system in there which allows you to search for buddies by interest, so you can easily connect with someone who enjoys the same things as you!

For NSmen, you can even search by ORD! LOL.

Well, this portal was created by SAFRA so I suppose it’s geared towards NSmen. Many articles in there cater to guys (cars, gadgets, how to read girls’ body language, etc). Also, SAFRA members get occasional perks like discounts and stuff.

But girls and non-members can join also lah. I see girl members in there!!

Who are these cuties?! =D

Fuse is the club for clubbing peeps. LOL ok I shall explain about clubs now.

There are 19 SAFRA-run clubs which you can join for planned outings in your interest area, where you also get discounts and privileges!

Some example clubs here:

Besides clubs, there are also user-created interest groups for gathering like-minded people. You can create a group easily and have the system recommend people to invite!

You can also create public activities which will appear on all members’ homepage with an option to join your activity. (Or create private activities just for friends.)

Anyway, signing up is free, so no harm trying, right? There’s a series of six contests happening right now as part of’s first-year anniversary celebrations, so please try to win yourself something! $5,000 worth of prizes up for grabs. Whee!

The contests are only happening in March so now’s a good time to sign up! =)

If you’re an SAF NSman, receive a 2GB thumbdrive for being the first 100 to sign up. You need to do two things on signing:

  1. Use WMGi as the referral code.
  2. After logging in, update your profile to indicate you’re an SAF NSman.

So not fair lah, you guys get all the perks!

But, anyway, my job is done now. So…

No, wait wait wait… one more thing!

Be a fan and win prizes from the many contests! ;)

Okay, my job done!

Your job: Get in2it and have some fun! ;)

Are you a lazy blogger?

There are a few strategies adopted by lazy bloggers who want to update daily but don’t want to go through the trouble of actually writing anything that requires them to activate more than two brain cells.

  • Google for the hot topic of the day, then post a link to it and write a few simple lines about it. “I think that woman is such a slut!! Don’t you think so???!!!”
  • Post lots of pictures and type one-line captions. “Me and my dog.” “Me and my dog again.”
  • Do an Internet quiz and post the results. “Congratulations! You are Harry Potter’s broomstick! Thank you for doing the ‘Which Harry Potter Character Are You?’ quiz.”
  • Post a YouTube video. “Watch this video! It made me laugh and cry and do somersaults!!”
  • Post song lyrics and an imeem link. “I love this song!”

I’m sure there are more strategies. You can fill in the rest for yourself.

And you know what? The reason I brought this up was because I was going to be a “lazy blogger” today. Not because I’m actually lazy but because I don’t have much time today and I was thinking of just posting a bunch of old photos, caption them, and leave it at that.

But it turns out I’ve gone and made a whole, original post about it, which makes this not quite a lazy blog anymore.

I’m sorry. I’ll try harder next time.

In the meantime, here are some random old photos.

(The Goonfather surprised me with a suite at Maya Hotel for our last KL trip.)

(The bathroom is as big as the bedroom and is see-through!)

(View from the bathtub.)

(Part of the study/lounge area.)

(A picture of me.)

(A picture of Brandy the Yorkie. The Goonfather’s niece’s dog.)

(A decapitated monkey.)

(Someone’s a dutiful husband.)

(Someone’s a sleepyhead.)

(Someone’s a camwhore.)

(Hahaha. Men in black go shopping.)

(I found Makkuro’s twin and parked beside him (or her. watever).)

(Me again.)

Ok, I think that’s enough. I actually do really need to rush off. I hope you have been entertained by my randomness today.

Status: Freaked Out

Hello! I’m on the verge of having a nervous breakdown.

You don’t want to hear the gory details, but the gist of it is that projects (acting and writing) are piling up and I’m stretched a zillion ways and I can’t sleep at night, which makes me very unproductive in the day, which doesn’t help move projects along.

(You might suggest that I do my projects at night, but I can’t, for practical reasons.)

Today’s blog will be quick and random because I need to spend more time clearing projects before I really have a nervous breakdown. =)

  • No, I’m not being stalked.
  • I don’t have to be a smoker after all because the director has removed the smoking scene. Thank you all very muchly for your advice and concern!
  • I saw a man riding a bicycle on a pavement. A probation plate was proudly mounted on his front basket. (You know, that ghastly yellow square with orange triangle.) I suppose that means pedestrians should be understanding if he happens to run over them.
  • One of my projects is a theatre performance piece. I have to write my own damn script.
  • I encountered a male jogger today wearing a grey singlet, blue shorts, white-and-black running shoes and hot pink socks. The socks were worn loose in leg-warmer fashion, extending about four inches up his calf. Stylish.
  • Life’s most annoying conundrum: Being too hungry to sleep and too sleepy to eat.
  • I won a Singapore Sports Council workout class from a lucky draw. I can choose any class I like. I chose a class in the cheapest category (ABT – $52). For reference, the most expensive classes are $110 (Pilates). I’m a disgrace to the spirit of Singaporeanism.

Okay. Time to move.

Got a library fine to pay.

I will still try to blog daily even when my brain starts leaking out my ears, so don’t stop visiting! ;)

Don’t worry. I’m a little freaked out by the stress but I won’t actually have a nervous breakdown.
