Gratitude

I’m honestly quite surprised that this month’s bujo is proving more popular, so my Instagram follower count has been increasing very quickly. 4K followers! I thought people wouldn’t like the slight change in style, but I’ve always been bad at predicting what people like anyway! Regardless, Im so very grateful for this blessing and am very thankful to everyone who likes my amateurish art!

The Undecided Couple

I’m calling us The Undecided Couple from now on. We had to toss a coin to decide dinner tonight. And 4 years ago we had to toss a coin to decide whether to have a wedding ceremony!

Evil Forces

Evil forces are stopping me form watching Harry Potter! Our new 4K TV arrived today. After waiting 18 days, then 4 days (ref. Oct 5) to watch the movie, I could have, today, except when I went to iTunes Store, the complete collection isn’t there anymore! It was still there an hour before!

Now, only single movies are available at £10 instead of £40 for 8! I sent Apple an email but in the meantime, more waiting!

Win

Did a 65-minute walk today despite being very cold and tired!

Good Forces

It wasn’t evil forces after all! It was a blessing in disguise! The Harry Potter complete collection came back to the iTunes Store £10 cheaper than before! I mean it’s a small amount but waiting for a total of 23 days for that saving seems worth it, lol. Now I’ve got all the 8 Harry Potter movies in 4K with extras for £30!

Artistic TV

I love our new Samsung Frame TV! It turns into a piece of art when the TV is off. There’s all kinds of styles of art to choose from and we can keep changing it. Only problem is Piers and I have very different tastes in art so I expect I’ll have to change it more often than I like!

Gratitude

I’m grateful for all the silver linings and blessings in disguise I’ve encountered in my life. As much as I love ranting and as much as I fall into depression, I do deep down believe that things kind of work out eventually and happy things do happen. and when they do, feel very grateful because gratitude enhances happiness.

Migrating Swans

Big noisy swans have been flying past our house quite a lot this month. I wonder where they’re going. I wish they’d stop here!

My Instagram hit 2,000 followers today! What? I still haven’t got over hitting 1,000 a month ago, so I’m getting some compounded shock here. Still, I’m so thankful to people who choose to look at my pages every day. I feel undeserving!

Women’s Institute

Went to my first women’s institute meeting today at the village hall. Our village’s WI is 99 years old this year so I feel like I’m joining a bit of history. They did warn me that the average age in the group is, well, pensioner age, but there are a few young ladies as well. If there are, they weren’t at today’s meeting.

I felt a little out of place, being the only non-Brit and “young person”. But they were all so lovely and welcoming. I do enjoy different age groups because different perspectives and ideas make interesting conversation!

Stressed Cat

Didn’t have time to go for a walk today because of WI. That means I’ll have to walk more tomorrow to make up my weekly steps goal.

I’m always very stressed on the days I have to go out because it means I must rush through some daily things and give up others.

Why am I so abnormal? People go out all the time and are fine but my life falls apart when I go out!

Random stuff I feel like talking about

#1

I have decided to get on Instagram, finally. It’s one of those things I didn’t want to do when everyone else was. Now that I’ve dallied enough, I find that someone has already taken the username sheylara (why???), thus forcing me to coin the very creative alternative of sheylara_uk.

So, there’s a lesson for you. Don’t be stubborn. Nothing wrong with being an excitable pup and rushing to join everything on the first day of launch.

I have just posted enough photos (7) for Instagram to create a montage cover for me. I like it. It feeds my vanity to have a portfolio of my pretentious artsy photographs displayed like that.

So, I’ve done that. Your job is to follow me and like all my photos from now on! :D

Pretty please with a cashew nut on top? Honey roasted!!

I’ve started a fitness regime to prepare for Mallorca and I hope I’m not too late. I have four bikinis to look decent in by September. (They’re the ones I bought in 2011 and never got to wear because I forgot to pack them for my 2011 Mallorca trip).

If you recall, I’m not a beach and sun person, so going to a resort island would be the only time I’d need to wear any swimsuit at all, so those bikinis have sat untouched in my cupboard for two years!

My fitness regime consists of fitness boot camp three times a week and a sugarless, carbless, junkfoodless diet.

It’s brutal, I tell you. Totally brutal, considering that up to this point my diet has been 80% sugar, phentermine carbs and junk food.

Now I have to spend too much time cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, putting in more effort to make boring food edible. giving me less time to do stuff I enjoy.

:(

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with red onion and grilled tomatoes.

Breakfast for a champion.

Lunch: Prawn and avocado salad.

Lunch for a champion.

And I haven’t even started on the craziness that goes on in bootcamp. My muscles want to tell you but I’m asking them to shut up and stop bothering me.

Vanity is a powerful motivator, therefore it’s gotta be a good thing, right?

I bought tickets to watch STOMP!

I saw them once a long time ago in Australia and loved the show. They’re coming to Bournemouth next month, playing at the Pavillion, which is about 15 minutes’ walk from home, whoopee.

When I first saw the poster in the town centre, I said to Piers, “OMG STOMP we have to go watch it!”

He said, “Okay.”

Then, when I was booking the tickets at home, I asked him which day he preferred, Tuesday to Saturday, and he said, “None of them.”

Stupid Piers!

Right, that’s all the random stuff I feel like talking about today. Tomorrow, we talk about sheep. I know you can’t wait!
