Insomnia

Woke up at 5 am and couldn’t fall back asleep for 30m so got up to work on my daily pages. Finally managed to get up to date!

I took Ambien for some time because of sleep disorders (difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep). In the beginning, it helped pretty well, made me tired and I fell asleep quickly. Even then I had the hallucinations. If I had to get up to go to the toilet or get a glass of water, it was always a trance feeling. As if I were walking with my eyes open. I purchasing best Ambien from https://www.philipsanimalgarden.com/ambien-zolpidem/.

Fatigue

The great thing about getting up early is that I have more time to do all my stuff. The bad thing is that I am a useless sack potatoes by mid-PM. Like my body has turned into a giant lump of metal and I can’t move. If I manage to move myself by sheer will to accomplish tasks, I am so sluggish I feel like I’m moving in a dream world where quicksand is the default land.

Cravings

I started allowing myself tiny amounts of sweet snacks, like once a week. But it’s a bad idea. It’s waking up my sweet cravings big time! Nooo!

Exercise

Today I decided to take my daily walk earlier to see if I can shake off the sluggishness. Piers was gardening so it was nice to have some company. We didn’t talk much since he was stuck at one spot while I was walking all over the place. But we made faces at each other whenever I walked past him and that was kind of nice.

Gratitude

I’m grateful for warm clothes and heating as the days start getting colder.

Hemp Milk

Tried hemp milk today. It is properly disgusting. It tastes like chalk, or dust, or ash. Not that I’ve tasted any of those, but hemp milk is what I imagine those things mixed in water would taste like. I don’t know what the reviewers who said this product is delicious are thinking. I had it with oats and had to gag it down.

Brad Pitt

Watched Burn After Reading. Partway through, I thought it gave me Fargo vibes. Sure enough it’s a Coen brothers movie! Brad Pitt is really good at playing ditzy and crazy (12 Monkeys, lol).

Gratitude

Grateful for uninterrupted sleep today. Still was not long enough but I must be thankful for small blessings.

Dark Chocolate

Felt hypoglycaemic in the middle of my walk. Decided to fix it with some dark chocolate. I have disliked dark chocolate all my life but Ocado had sent these over for reviewing and Adam my homeopath says if I must have sweets, choose dark chocolate because it is good for you. So I ate it and enjoyed it somewhat because it is better than no chocolate. But I miss milk chocolate so much! And then I had to pay the price: horrid aftertaste that lingers in my tongue for hours and hours after eating dark chocolate.

Butter

I’m not sure whether I’m intolerant to the lactose or casein in milk, but Adam said butter is probably ok for me, so I bought some lactose-free butter just to be as safe as possible. Well, great news! It tastes just as good as Lurpak and I’m so pleased! Life is a little bit less horrid now.

Speaking of which, I stopped getting back acne about a month after quitting dairy and going low sugar. So that’s kind of great but which one was causing the acne? Or was it both? I should have tried quitting one at a time!

In the beginning, the symptoms were worse. But it got better over time. Now, after about half a year, I am satisfied with the result. I just have issues with dry lips and dry skin. I am likewise apprehensive that the side effects will return after the treatment. I need to take Accutane until my summer holidays. I would recommend it.

Walking indoors

It rained all day today, which is great news for the garden, but bad news for my routine. I don’t want to go out there to walk when it’s wet and cold! Piers suggested I just walk around the living room, which sounds unappealing but was the best option.

I put Harry Potter on the Bluetooth speaker and started walking. A minute later, I had a better idea. I put Netflix on and started walking on the spot in front of the TV. Home gym sorted!

Gratitude

I’m grateful for humour and funny people and for the ability to laugh with a passion.

Netflix and walk isn’t working out for me. Holding my phone up at eye level while walking (to protect my neck) is causing back and shoulder strain. Luckily, I have a new Audible credit today!

After deliberating for a month, I’ve decided to give Harry Potter a go because Stephen Fry! I adore the man’s accent. Plus it seems like almost everyone in the bujo community are HP fans and I am feeling left out.

I read the first four books like 18 years ago (OMG) and also watched the first few movies. The books were a gift and I enjoyed them enough. Just not enough to feel compelled to continue with new releases.

But my BeatsX earphones have been broken for many days now. I can’t use my wired ones because stupid iPhone 8+ doesn’t have a jack. My Beats Solo3 is out of juice. I have audio devices galore but I can’t use any!

I am so pleased with my decision. Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter is better than I imagined. He makes dialogue funnier and just brings the whole thing to life. I might even give Sherlock Holmes a try after I finish the HP series!

I love going for walks again now!

Netflix and Walk

I finished my Audible book and haven’t got a new credit so I decided to watch Netflix during my walk, lol. I’m only walking in my garden so it’s safe. I don’t know about eyesight but I have so many shows I need to watch but have no time so I thought this is a great idea!

I chose to watch 3%. We watched 2 episodes when it first came out but Piers didn’t like it so we stopped but I’ve been wanting to pick it up again. It’s going great so far but my arm is sore from holding my phone at eye level the whole walk!

Stupid dream

Um, so, I dreamt last night that I was late to brother’s wedding because I followed the wrong people, like, twice! Dreams are always so stupid!

Gratitude

I’m grateful for my sushi breakfast even though it’s only supermarket sushi and isn’t the best. But I love sushi for breakfast and not having to cook!

Win

Ticked all my daily habits. Did some laundry. Spent all my free time on bujo. LOL. The last one is not quite a win but let’s not quibble over definitions.

Fail

Ate an entire packet of Walkers Sensations Bangkok Streetmix. This is not a good idea, young lady. Thou shalt repent!

Gratitude

I had to write 6 items of gratitude a day when I was doing BSJ. So why is it so difficult to do just one each day now? Geez, ok, I’m grateful for cute stationery, lol.

Win

Made a smoothie with blueberries, a banana and cashew milk for a F2F task. It wasn’t all nice because healthy! But I drank it all. LOL.

Fail

I ate 2,000 calories today OMG someone shoot me. Reminder: Do not eat 2 burgers for dinner again, ever! OMG.

Fatigue

My sleep has improved slightly this week, in that I spent a bit more time in bed asleep instead of awake. However, deep sleep levels have been more dismal and I’ve been feeling especially fatigued all week, even on days when I had 7-9 hours’ sleep.

It’s funny how fatigue creeps up on you slowly over the years so you don’t realise something is wrong until after many years believing you’ve become boring and grumpy, not wanting to do anything. But the culprit is fatigue!

Great Movie

Hidden Figures is a really great film! It’s about 3 black female mathematicians who made significant contributions to NASA in the 1960s despite racial segregation. It’s very moving!

My Instagram hit 2,000 followers today! What? I still haven’t got over hitting 1,000 a month ago, so I’m getting some compounded shock here. Still, I’m so thankful to people who choose to look at my pages every day. I feel undeserving!

Women’s Institute

Went to my first women’s institute meeting today at the village hall. Our village’s WI is 99 years old this year so I feel like I’m joining a bit of history. They did warn me that the average age in the group is, well, pensioner age, but there are a few young ladies as well. If there are, they weren’t at today’s meeting.

I felt a little out of place, being the only non-Brit and “young person”. But they were all so lovely and welcoming. I do enjoy different age groups because different perspectives and ideas make interesting conversation!

Stressed Cat

Didn’t have time to go for a walk today because of WI. That means I’ll have to walk more tomorrow to make up my weekly steps goal.

I’m always very stressed on the days I have to go out because it means I must rush through some daily things and give up others.

Why am I so abnormal? People go out all the time and are fine but my life falls apart when I go out!
