I thought my movie would never get a chance to be screened after it was withdrawn from the Singapore International Film Festival due to censorship issues.
But Sinema Old School picked it up (yayness) so… I am akan datang!!
In a manner of speaking.
In case you’re new to my blog, I’m an actress and this is my first major film. I blogged about the shooting of this film last year, under a different working title (God is a Woman).
The world premiere screening of Female Games is happening on July 22 (Wed, 8 pm). That’s the one I’ll be attending. Tickets are available to the public and can be bought through e-mail, phone or fax at the Sinema Old School site.
If you can’t make it on July 22, check here for other show times. The film will run till the end of the month.
Please be aware that this is an R21 artistic, experimental film with sexually explicit content with kamagra online, and has been touted as “the first contemporary Singaporean film to boldly portray female homosexuality”.
If any of the words above bother you, please don’t watch it.
Critic have raved over the film, though. Not a single bad review so far! Read one here.
I hope I don’t regret advertising this.
I think I’m going to.
lulz… i likey dis…
sounds interesting!
@Sheylara: Congrats!:)) Really happy for you, especially so since the SIF pulled it that time. Never doubted that it’d be screened somehow, eventually:)
WOW. SO. HAWT.
I’ll go watch it but not sure which date yet! :))
Woohooo!!!! Can’t wait to see my fav person on big screen! And yes! I’ll be in Spore to watch it too!!!! Whhhoooopppppeeeee!!!!! One question, what’s Sinema Old School? Is is the old MGS?
oh wow! so exciting! I’ll definitely watch it!
tvbaddict: Haha.. .which part do you like?
starmist: I’m not sure how it will turn out also. Apparently, the plot turned out different from what I expected when filming… and my director refused to tell me how. O_o
RN1209: Thanks for your support, always!
Daphne Maia: Awesome! Hope you like it!
Monster: Wow… great timing then! :) Sinema Old School is at 11 Mt Sophia. Not sure about MGS… I don’t even know where that was. :P
tstar: Yay! Thanks! :)
wow looking forward to the show. This is the one where u went for that road trip to KL right?
Any plans to release it in Aus? Or even get a copy of it somehow??
Would love to watch it!
tiger4: Yup that’s the one!
sam: Hmm… I don’t think it will be released commercially anywhere outside of Singapore. It’ll only be shown at film festivals. As for copies.. I don’t know. I don’t even have one myself… yet. :P
Monster,
Yup! I know where that is. It was the old Shatec. Used to study there. Kinda behind Cathay.
Congrats you are now an R(a) actress!
Congrats!!
Who are you in the film?
I am really disappointed, Sheylara. You are better than that. But it doesn’t really matter what I think.
Good luck.
Congrats Sheylara!!! I wish you all the best of luck and I hope one day this film will be available outside S’pore.
Lena, how exciting and a BIG congrats! Is it showing anywhere in August? I’ll be back in Singapore starting mid-August for three weeks.
@Sheylara: Ooo yes…. i wan 2 c the cat fight you did in the film
Why should you regret writing about this? It’s good to be a lead actress in a movie! Congrats!
Hmm… Sounds like an outing for the BarFlies. =)
wow….nice to bump to ur site here….will visit here often….very sexy picture of u
aww booo :( when you get one send me one, ya? ;)
Monster: Cool! It’s a bit inaccessible for those without vehicles, though, I think.
pooktothehead: Haha. Very funny.
Shu Fen: Thanks! :) I’m Sandy in the film.
Mike M: Huh? What are you talking about? Should I run for president instead of being an actress, then?
Lobo: Thanks very much!
Sharon: Thank you! I don’t think it’ll be showing anymore after this July run. Not too sure, though. But looking forward to catching up with you when you’re back!
tiger4: Haha… I’m curious to see that myself, too. I can’t imagine how it will turn out…
Miss Glitzy: Hey, thanks for dropping by! I think I’m going to regret because I have no idea how the film will turn out. What if I’m really bad in it?? lol..
JayWalk: Heh, thanks for your support! Hope to see you there. :)
via: Thanks for your comment!
sam: I’ll let you know if it’s ever released for purchase! ;)
@Sheylara: Hey! You went down to Jusco @ Tebrau City in JB yesterday? My wife spotted you with Goon boss, Wang Wang n Morte there. Too bad, I was away else I will come up n ask for photo n autographs. :p
That’s not what I said at all. But again, it doesn’t matter what I think or say. I only matters what you think.
I hope it goes well for you Sheylara.
Talk about controversy. Now I feel like as ass.
malaysia got show or not?
tiger4: Wah, so cool… we happened to be in the same mall in a foreign country at the same time! Hehe. We were brought there by our tour guide during our durian tour.
chris: I don’t think so.
wow i was reading through your blog and i see that you mention r21. then sinema. and ting*. my friend who wrote a review for sinema came into my mind. she had once told me her debut review for sinema was a r21 show for sinema. how coincidental is that. and as i scroll down i see her name miao, haha. wad a small small world. i wouldn’t have read her review if i hadn’t see it posted here.
@Sheylara: I was on a durian tour that day and brought there by my tour guide too! My tour is organized by NUS-NTU and arranged by Chan Bros.
yandao87: Wow, what a great coincidence! Funny that you found your friend’s review through someone else’s blog! :P
tiger4: Oh my, another great coincidence! How was your durian tour? Ours was really disappointing. I mean the durians really sucked!
@Sheylara: My durian eating session is disappointing. We expect to be taken to some sort of durian plantation. End up in a rural area walk in from the main road next to some durian stalls. -_-”
I only take one seed of durian as my body is a bit heaty. But overheard from others that the durian not very solid. From the one I ate, I have taste better ones bought from NTUC :P
Here are some photos I took for my trip.

Hmm… from your photos, it does look like a durian plantation leh. And OMGGGGGG, we were in the same seafood restaurant!!! And that Yoyo shop!!! lolololol. I wonder how much those two establishments paid all the tour agencies to bring us there, haha. :P
I wan to go back to Yoyo shop!!!
@Wang Wang: What you want to buy? According to my m’sian colleagues, the place is a 1 hour ride from JB.
I am currently checking to see does the shop do deliveries? Wanna chip it if they do? Hehehe

Answering on Wang Wang’s behalf. I’m sure she’ll be happy to chip in. :P
