Well, we’re a little late this week but it can’t be helped, can it? Better late than dead!
So, this week was E3 week, which obviously means that I got swamped with E3 material to sort through and report on, which kind of is a major bummer because I also received three brand new games to play (and review) since Thursday but haven’t even had time to free them from their wrappers yet.
It’s been a crazy busy week!
By the way, I am right now sitting at J.Co (Tampines 1) having a frozen yoghurt while working on this column. But that’s a long story which has no bearing on games.
So… onward with the goodies!

Project Natal – Changing the face of gaming
The most exciting announcement made at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo, June 2-4) this year came from Microsoft – the revolutionary Project Natal!
Now, this is very, very important. Natal is pronounced nuh-TALL. Please say it right because you don’t want to sound silly saying it wrong.
Utilising a sensor which combines a camera, depth sensor, microphone and custom processor, Project Natal is virtual reality as we’ve never seen it before. Without clunky equipment!
In layman’s term, Project Natal is playing video games without a controller because YOU are the controller.
Besides being able to detect full body movements and voice commands, the AI is so advanced that it can even detect changes in our facial emotions and respond accordingly. Cool, ne?
Watch the demo videos OMG OMG OMG watch them.
Steven Spielberg was at E3 2009 to present Project Natal.
“The next step in interactive entertainment is to make the controller disappear,” he said. “With ‘Project Natal’, we’ll see games that bring everyone together through technology that actually recognises us.”
Don Mattrick, head of Xbox 360 (left) with visionary filmmaker Steven Spielberg
There is no ETA on a release date yet. Microsoft is keeping very mum.
But Project Natal pwns!

Xbox LIVE has teamed up with Facebook and Twitter to bring both applications to the TV through the Xbox 360 console.
Seems like this is going to give us more reasons to be couch potatoes.

Another delight unveiled at E3. The pocket-sized PSPgo is the next-gen PlayStation Portable which promises to make our gaming lives even more convenient.

Win a silly looking mouse!!
Well, you won’t quite believe this, but someone won this mouse last year but was too shy to collect his prize, so it’s been sitting around in my home for more than half a year now, looking silly.
Recently, the winner requested to give it out as a prize again, so that’s what I’m doing.
If you would like to win this cute brinjal, please post a comment to sign up for the giveaway. A draw will take place and the brinjal will have a new owner.
It could be you!
Or not.

In fact, what I’ve published today isn’t even half of what I’ve got for E3 but I’m not able to process everything, so maybe I’ll do a continuation next week.
Depends. Maybe no one will be interested anymore by next week.
Also depends on whether I have time to touch the new games I’ve got.
Life is so full of depends.
Want that mouse!!lolx…just trying my luck…I look forward to playing final fantasy…lol
Wow a nice blog. Need more news…. So much of E3… more on PS3… me a PS3 fan hahaha…
It is a cute mouse… wonder if it will goes with my vaio. :P
Would like this mouse pls
Hey babe, would like to have the mouse pls! =)
That’s alot more coverage on Project Natal, Facebook and Twitter than what they have on the Xbox itself ~ ^.^
Glad to see so many upcoming titles on Xbox360 ~
A pity I am more interested in FFX Versus XIII than the original XIII.
When it comes to RPG games, I never liked to play as female characters. Sounds sexist? Probably just can’t immerse myself as the female protagonist.
Back to the games; The Beatles I like but I hate the idea of having to buy a WHOLE DIFFERENT PIECE OF MEDIA just to play. Can’t we have it as DLC or something? Its really dumb imo ~ Playing GHWT halfway, wanna jam to some Metalica, have to swap games.
Till then ~ ^.^
@aicee: Vaio looks sweeter with a Vaio Bluetooth mouse ~
I would like to have the funny shaped mouse :O
@Sheylara: Wow, thanks for the E3 update! Nice work coming out with GGF despite your jam-packed schedule, and on Sunday night some more:) Alan Wake sounds most intriguing, and I really hope FFXIII will come to our shores…
I won! :) I tot mr randomizer didnt like me. haha. Hope it will like me enough to grant me the mouse this time. :)) Thanks for the update on E3! It was great reading it, especially on Natal, sounds pretty cool.
Who would be too shy to collect their prize from Sheylara? So silly…. :)
A comment on project natal, the second video you posted showed that it could regconize faces and actions. Seems like they are creating the AI for skynet right there….Somemore steven spielberg presented it, what an ironic twist if the machines do take over the world :P
..would be a very expensive silly lookin mouse, by the time i fly to Singapore to collect it..lol @,@
How cute is the new PSP?!! omg!!…must fight temptation..i must, i must!!
@Sheylara..do you play PS3?
Aaron/Louis/FYL/Jerry: Good luck, dudes! Got your names in the randomiser!
aicee: Haha… but Vaio needs a Vaio mouse to match with it! :P
SpiritAngelo: Project Natal, Facebook and Twitter are the highlights mah. Something different. Games are just games lor… normal. :P
RN1209: I didn’t know you play FF. :)
ahtiong: Why would you think Mr Randomiser doesn’t like you? He loves you. Haha.
betshopboy: lol.
Naiveguy: Hahaha. Machines are already slowing taking over the world!
LazySusan: I play the PS3 rarely. I played Rock Band and LittleBigPlanet and the occasional download game. Guess I’m more a party game sort of person, haha. But since I have limited gaming time, I usually spend it on the Xbox 360. :P
Cod6 is about to be comming out the Nov Eleventh god I just can’t freaking wait for it to come out. Add me on Xbox Live my gamertag is Mozrilo
