Fashion Diary #7: Miss Muffet

Wed, 20 June 2007 10:17 pm

Day 7

Name of outfit: Miss Muffet

Self-Rating:

Destination: An audition

Notes: I don’t dress like that to go out, normally. It’s the blouse. I bought it for audition purposes and that’s what I wore it for today. I think it’s a really sweet blouse, but it’s not very me.

I had to look a bit more mature today, but I wanted to look cute and fun at the same time. So I threw in the short denim skirt to tone the maturity down. Well, I don’t know if the outfit worked but I seemed to have made an impression at the audition. ;)

Fashion Diary #6: Funky Punky

Day 6

Name of outfit: Funky Punky

Self-Rating:

Destinations: DXO 2nd Anniversary @ Downtown East and DXO

Notes: This was quite a tricky one because I had two very different places to go to. Today was DXO’s 2nd Anniversary celebration and we had to hang out at Downtown East (resort) in the afternoon to gather the drift car convoy, and then proceed to DXO (disco) at night.

(If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read this blog.)

So, I had to wear something suitable for both venues. I decided that shorts and boots were the best compromise. As for the top, I think it’s casual, yet funky enough for clubbing. Besides, I wanted to try on my new black starry necklace and thought it would go well with this top in particular because most of my other tops veer towards sweet, white and pink.

Yeah, I know it’s the same top as my previous outfit, but it’s worn differently!

(Full report on the celebration coming up once I’ve had time to sort out the photos and videos. Stay tuned!)

Fashion Diary #5: Party Kid

Day 5

Name of outfit: Party Kid

Self-Rating:

Destinations: Birthday party and dinner party

Notes: I was going to my two-year-old niece’s birthday party, so I wanted to wear my new heart-shaped hairclips (one pink, shown in picture, and another white, which I wore on the other side.) And I thought the hairclips would go well with my pinky flowery socks.

The rest of the outfit was thrown in to match those two items. Wanted to wear my white bubble-sleeved blouse but it’s still in the wash. The shorts and birkies were for comfort because I was going to be out all day/night attending parties and doing errands.

Public Reaction #1: You look like you’re going rollerblading.
Public Reaction #2: Wah… so sporty today!
Public Reaction #3: What is this? (Asked by the 2-year-old birthday girl, pointing at my socks.)

Fashion Diary #4: Strawberry Milk

Sat, 2 June 2007 10:05 am

Day 4

Name of outfit: Strawberry Milk

Self-Rating:

Destination: Velvet Dragon

Notes: First of all, the top is white, and not that deathly shade of blue-gray as it appears in the picture. You can thank my bad photography and photoshopping skills for that.

For the longest time, my wardrobe was dominated by blue. Now, it’s white (and a bit of pink). I’m in love with white. I decided recently that I like white more than blue now so my wardrobe is now 70% white.

Lastly, white with pink is totally yummy! I’m in love with white and pink. You can probably tell.

Fashion Diary #3: College Days

Sat, 26 May 2007 12:20 pm

Day 3

Name of outfit: College Days

Self-Rating:

Destination: VivoCity GV Cinema

Notes: Today’s outfit is rather normal because I was only going to the movies for a few hours (midnight show). Also, it’s very tiring to dress outrageously every day. Sometimes I need a break!

But I get to wear my favourite jacket today because VivoCity is cold. The second picture is to show off the lace on the hood. I so love lace detail!
