I don’t know about you but it’s usually people that make me really mad.

I tried to remember if I’d ever gotten angry with things, but I’m not having much success delving in that direction. Well, maybe that time I got mad at a jar of salsa dip because it refused to be opened.

But it wasn’t like I was really mad. More like hoppingly annoyed. I think it’s kinda silly to get mad at things in the first place. Things are just things, you know. If something doesn’t work, just walk away and do another thing.

We can’t do this with people. We’re forced to work, live and interact with other people. If someone makes you mad, you can’t always say, “Screw you,” and walk away, especially if you depend on that person to pay your bills.

This morning, about 5 am, I opened the door to my bathroom and stepped in with every intention to brush my teeth.

But what greeted me in the bathroom knocked all thoughts of tooth-brushing out of my mind as I stood gawping in wonder and amazement.

I have known all along that moths enjoy visiting my bathroom; it’s a reasonably favourite hangout for them.

But this morning, there was a freaking moth convention in there.

Moth convention

Moth convention

Moth convention

Moth convention

Or maybe it was a beauty pageant, seeing as how all sorts of nationalities had gathered, decked in their national costumes.

These photos were not collected over the months or years. These photos were all taken in my bathroom at 5 am this morning.

Excepting a couple of them, they all tamely sat at their respective spots (whether on walls, floor or ceiling, or rug) and didn’t so much as flutter as I brought my Blackberry within an inch of their faces to photograph them.

(I keep forgetting to charge my camera batteries.)

I don’t know if they’re all moths, especially the green one in the last picture, but, well, they all turned up for the party so they’re all in my gallery. Maybe the green one is an honorary foreign guest speaker. Or maybe he’s breakfast.

Who knows.

When I entered the bathroom an hour later, half of them had gone. Some of the remaining half were still perched on the exact same spot where I left them.

Maybe they fell asleep while the honorary foreign guest speaker was speaking since they couldn’t understand a word of his foreign tongue.

I wonder if any of them laid any eggs. Will there be a moth baby convention next?

Oh, I didn’t remember to brush my teeth until about an hour later.

Okay, here’s the missing post which I accidentally deleted the other day. Reader Dallas found it on Google cache for me, lol.

===

So strange.

I was walking out of my housing compound to get to the main road to get a cab. As I walked past the guard house, a car was also at the same time driving out.

The passenger at the back seat rolled his window down and started waving and gesturing to me. He was on his mobile phone at the same time.

There was no one else around me he could be gesturing to but I also didn’t recognise him, so I just ignored him.

Then he started shouting (cos we were some distance away), “Go where?”

I turned back to look at him. He started gesturing “where” and said, “Where you going ah?” as if he knew me. At this time, he still had a mobile phone stuck to his ear.

Of course, I looked at him puzzedly then looked away again and the car eventually drove off.

Why got people so weird one.

Oh, then I got in a cab and said “Kinta Road” and the cabbie kept saying “Sinta Road”, despite my repeated enunciating to make sure he got the right road.

Story of my day.

Blogging on my iPhone cos I’m out today for meetings and didn’t bring Fluffy cos I can’t find her power cable amidst the mess in my room.

And can’t bring my MacBook out cos I don’t have a case for it. LOL.

Speaking of which, I’m still undecided on which laptop bag to get. Some help?

I have a missing blog entry!

LOL.

Yesterday, I went to the Nuffnang office for a casual lunch + meeting. While waiting for everyone to be ready for lunch, I sat there and typed a blog on my iPhone.

Around the time I was about to finish up the entry, we started walking out to the restaurant.

So, usually, after I post a blog, I will read it once through to check for mistakes.

We sat down for lunch.

At this time, I was super multi-tasking. I had already published the blog and was trying to check and edit mistakes (which is quite tricky to do on the iPhone).

At the same time I was also trying to decide on my food order AND have two conversations at once (one with my manager, Raine, and the other with Boss Ming and Nanny Wen and Elise).

I finally managed to get my entry up and relatively mistake free. Or so I thought.

I didn’t think anything of it until I received a tweet from one of my readers, like, 24 hours later:

The title of my post was “This weird person”. And it’s not on my blog anymore. Neither is it in the archive. It’s gone missing!

Doh.

I must have deleted it accidentally while trying to edit it while trying to order lunch while trying to have two conversations at once.

Now I’m wondering whether I should rewrite the entry. It’s just a stupid encounter I had yesterday which is not terribly interesting so I’m not really bothered that it’s gone.

But sorry if you got it on RSS and couldn’t find it.

Sometimes, I can be as blur as Nanny Wen. :D
