It is quite an evil thing having to write about something when you’d rather be doing it, instead, is it not?
I’m looking at the various interest groups at in2it.sg (which I blogged about last week) and I’m very interested, indeed!

As y’all know, I’m a greedy person. I have a zillion interests and I want to do everything! It just seems to me like everything in life is fun! Well, except getting gel nails. And a few other things like talking to self-righteous people. Not fun.
But, seriously, I have half a mind to join a few of these in2it.sg’s interest groups. It would be so fun to do stuff with people who enjoy doing the same stuff!

That’s why I have my beloved friends (Club Morte) for that, but I guess they can’t accompany me in everything cos, while we have overlapping interests, we also have different ones.
Like, since trying out rock climbing at SAFRA Yishun last year, I’ve been wanting to do it again but none of my friends are in2it (lol) so it became a neglected desire.

So, perhaps, I shall join the in2it.sg Adventure Club to find people to climb rocks with!
The in2it.sg interest groups are split into four categories:
Leisure & Entertainment — Clubbing, Movies, Gaming, Music
Lifestyle — Travel, Gym
Sports — Adventure, Dragon Boat, Tennis, Table Tennis, Archery, Shooting, Badminton, Squash, Running, Golf
Interests & Hobbies — Photography, Motor Sports, Community Services
Most of them require a SAFRA membership but it’s very cheap and definitely worth it. (Find out more here.) Think of all the fun to be had!

I would like to join the clubs for movies, gaming, travel, gym, adventure, shooting, running, photography and community services. So much to do, so little time! I am currently addicted to Plants vs. Zombies on my PC so all those activities will have to wait a while.
I guess gaming will always be my main passion, although it’s hard to say, because I enjoy all activities equally. Maybe I just game more than anything else because it’s the most convenient. =P
Speaking of which, if you were to tag me on this image, which would I be? (I know you’ll surely tag me Gaming Geek. So predictable lah.)

It’s a contest, actually, happening at in2it.sg’s Facebook fan page! You upload this image into the fan page as a fan photo, then tag as many friends as possible based on each friend’s interest.
So, for example, you might tag me (plus anyone else into gaming) as Gaming Geek.
And you could even WIN AN IPOD NANO 8GB if you have the top three highest number of tags!!!
Wowness!
Yes, yes. You can tag me. If you’re not already my Facebook friend, request here.
DON’T HAVE TO TAG ME AS GAMING LAH. I HAVE MANY OTHER INTERESTS YOU KNOW?!
But it’s up to you. =P
I’m the happiest girl on earth!
Tomorrow, I’m going to Disneyland for my first time ever, courtesy of Hong Kong Disneyland!

In honour of this happy event, I bought Mickey Mouse luggages! I bought a large and a small one. Minou also bought a small one!

I’ve actually been eyeing them for a long time (few months) but kept resisting because they’re so expensive. Comes in three sizes and the listed prices are $400 (S), $500 (M) and $600 (L). Crazy, right?!
But each time I passed by the shops that carry them, I couldn’t help staring wistfully.
After a few months, the luggages were still sitting there, so I figured I could try and bargain more because they might want to “clear stock”. So expensive, only crazy people will buy lah!
After some hard bargaining, I finally got the large one for $400 and the small one for $250! Still expensive as luggages go BUT IT’S MICKEY MOUSE.
IN SUCH A DELICIOUS SHADE OF PINK!

Going crazy with anticipation!
We’ll be staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and treated to the Star Guest Program, which sounds cool! Because each room can accommodate four, I’ve invited three other people — the three lucky loves of my life — the Goonfather, Minou and Elyxia. =D
Tell you all a secret!
The Goonfather is a huge huge huge Disneyland fan. He visited the one in the USA and has been trying to drag me to the Hong Kong one for ages but I’ve been too poor to go. Hahaha… so unexpected right?
Anyway, this is a really wonderful surprise!
I’m going to buy lots of Disney merchandise home! That’s why I need that giant luggage. Heheh! And the great thing about travelling with a male partner is that you can leech his luggage allowance. Hahahahaha.

I love China!!! Just bought this handheld sewing machine for S$3! =D And I was just thinking I needed a mini sewing machine 2 days ago!!!

Oops. I made Minou hold it the wrong way. It’s supposed to be fat bottom! Lazy to retake photo.
Am in Shenzhen today! I booked this trip a month ago because I didn’t do enough shopping the last round.
But about a week ago, I kinda lost the mood for shopping, LOL. Am now in the hotel room waiting for the Goonfather. He usually stays overnight at a spa because they’re cheaper and he gets served 24/7.
Er… we’re not sharing a hotel room because I’m with Minou! =D
Oh, he’s here! Shall go out and shop, anyway, since we’re already here.
Why can I never get a straight answer from a man? We’re planning a trip to Guernsey (an island) dead early tomorrow morning, so I need to know what time we have to leave so I can set my alarm.
Me: What time do we have to leave home?
Piers: No earlier than an hour before the time we have to be there – which is an hour before we sail (6 am).
Took me 11 minutes of questioning, during which time I got more riddles, before I received the answer: 4 am.
Piers “invented” a really delicious Asian snack combo: Prawn crackers with hoisin sauce! So proud of him!
I also found this awesome lemongrass-flavoured prawn crackers at Tesco. From Netherlands, but makers were Indoneisan settlers. Tastes so great when you dip into hoisin sauce (sparingly)!

Yeah I know my photos are missing from my blog header. Looks very funny, doesn’t it?
Nanny Wen (aka Buggy Wen aka Davienne) says it reminds her of Harry Potter’s moving picture people.
Guess my photos are taking a break. They’ve gone into hiding because it’s been raining a lot in England and the weather forecast says it’s going to hail tomorrow.
IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER!
Crazy or not.
I thought I’d be in discomfort for a year because I was finding it impossible to get used to Invisalign in my mouth. But just 11 days into it, I hardly feel it anymore.
Was playing on my iPad before bed last night when I suddenly couldn’t feel plastic in my mouth and for one horrifying moment, thought that I had forgotten to put my aligners back on after dinner, which was ages ago.
Turned out it’s just my mouth has started to adapt.

Quote of the day

Me: I want a pet duckling!
Piers: LOL why!!!
Me: Cos they’re so cute.
Piers: All baby things are cute! Except babies.
A transport provider in the UK just sent me an e-mail asking me to take part in an online survey to help improve services.
So I go there and answer two questions (age and last time I used the service) and they say:
“Thank you for your time. Unfortunately, you do not qualify for the survey as this time around we are looking to survey our more senior customers (over 60) only.”
WTF fail.
Was googling the difference between biscuits and cookies and got linked to a Yahoo! Answers page. This guy’s answer made me LOL.
“The difference between the biscuit and the cookie is the Atlantic.
Plus, American biscuit more like a savory scone
Plus English biscuit is an American cookie.
Plus English or American cookie is in your computer to do stuff that no one really understands.”
Being too ambitious (or greedy). Two heaped bowls of ricotta and spinach tortelloni in bolognese sauce, with six sausages and three baby zucchinis thrown into the mix. A roll of garlic bread and a bottle of wine. Delicious!

Yay I got white tulips! My favouritest flowers. :)

England has the most beautiful flowers. Tulips and roses in white with pale pink. Gerberas in strawberry milk pink. Makes me happy!
Just read in detail about foot binding in ancient China. I always thought they just wrapped up the feet during infancy to stop them from growing.
But, no! They wait till the girl is 4-7 years old, then break her toes and arch bones so that the toes can curl under the sole. Without anaesthesia.
After wrapping the monstrous creation tightly, the girl is then forced to walk on her broken feet so her weight can help crush them into shape. The feet are crushed and rebound daily for like two years! WTF is wrong with people?!
