Where’s Sheylara?

I’m now in Penang, in this cosy little resort, located at one remote end of Penang, called Lonely Pine Hotel. The beach is almost literally standing right outside our balcony. (It’s separated by a small swimming pool.)

The wireless network access provided by the resort didn’t work so I’m now using the wired access computers in the computer room at RM10 an hour. No photos today because it’ll be too much of a hassle to transfer them from my laptop and upload them.

I should be back in Singapore on Sunday.

After almost a week of struggling to get connected (and failing), I am feeling a little frustrated and a little out of touch with the rest of the world.

Of course, the other part of me is enjoying this little holiday. It has been such an incredible journey and I took so many photos (and some videos) I think I will probably go nuts choosing which ones to post.

Gotta go. Internet access is expensive (and dodgy) in hotels (even in tiny little backwater resorts) and I have more scenes to do, anyway.

    cheapest way to get speedy & mobile broadband for u (foreigner) in msia.

    borrow a huawei USB modem from fren in SG (they got it free by signup singtel/starhub mobile broadband) for few days.

    buy a celcom (019) prepaid SIM pack.

    if starter pack with value >RM8, press *118# then press 2 for celcom broadband then 1 for subscribe then 1 for confirm.

    u will get 24hrs unlimited mobile broadband with speed 384kbps (good enof direct play youtube video) only RM8.
    most of the area in msia can have 3G or at least GPRS speed.

    @Sheylara: Has shooting wrapped up already, or is today the final stretch? Whatever the case, we all can’t wait for you to be back:) Hope you’ve got some kind of R&R planned on your return though, coz you’re gonna need it:)

    mac: Hey, thanks for the tip. WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY SO EARLIER?! :P In fact I DO have a huawei modem, which I use for mobile broadband in Singapore! O_o

    Daryl: I didn’t know you had a thing for beaches! I have a few pics on the beach, not much though, we only had a couple of beach scenes, lol.

    RN1209: Nope, didn’t have R&R planned for my return. No time leh. :(
