@quar: That’s true. The only “action”-like movies I remember from Liz Hurley were “Austin Powers” & “Bedazzled”, but other than those, she doesn’t really have physically challenging roles in her repertoire. BUT, she IS English and I think she lends a certain credence to Lara’s voice:)

me think hurley’s a little too old for the role of lara croft. she’s hot and all, but i doubt she can handle the action.

@heartless: Errmm, I think its the other way around. The game graphics design originally had Lara look a certain way (not sure who they were modelling her after) and she wasn’t so well endowed. When it came to making the movie, I guess Angelina Jolie happened to have the right look (and assets:)). Even then, I think Liz Hurley & Catherine Zeta-Jones could’ve auditioned as well.

RN1209: btw all of the Tomb Raider games all have Lara looking like Angelina, don’t they?
