Funniest moment in Ping.sg party

Sun, 8 July 2007 11:22 pm

This is really cute.

The winner for the Most Insighful Blog Award at the Ping.sg 1st Anniversary Blog Awards couldn’t be there to receive the award, so he made an acceptance speech video.

I don’t really know him, apart from the time he briefly participated in a discussion in my blog. But, apparently, Cobalt Paladin is an “anonymous” blogger, meaning that none of his readers know what he looks like.

So, he “accepts” his award wearing a Transformers mask and promises to reveal himself in this one-minute video.

(I added subtitles because my audio recording is bad so the sound is muffled. But I couldn’t catch one line so there’s a blank. Haha. Sorry about that. I also missed a little bit of the front of the video because I’m slow lah, can? The laughter is from a real audience.)

Damn funny! I love it!

I feel that Cobalt Paladin should start another blog and run for Most Entertaining Blog next year.

Anyway, I’ve been busy all the way since after the party, so I haven’t had time to process photos and write an entry about the party. But it’ll come, so wait for it!

Thanks! I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. While making the video, it made me realised how much harder acting really is. I knew it was hard, but it was much much harder than I thought! I salute you Sheylara!

Keep acting! Keep your passion for the job burning! :)

DK: Nice meeting you too. You’re not as much of a terror as you appear to be online. :P

SC: :)

modchip: Haha, I think it’s damn funny. Especially if you watch the original video where you hear the soundtrack first, and then the screen reveals the transformers mask. It made everyone laugh!

Steffi: Haha, I didn’t know that. But it’s cute anyway!

Cobalt Paladin: Er… did you have to act? You were wearing a mask for goodness’ sake. Just stand there and say some words only… can’t even see face, lol. Anyway, thanks. And great job! Too bad you prefer to remain anonymous. I would love to meet the person behind such creativity! ;)

You mean I joined that bloody Ping site, filled in all my details etc, etc, and voted, and you didn’t win???
Well… it must have been fixed! I’m going to write to my MP and order an inquiry into this blatant abuse of the Internet process. The beauty of the pure process has been tarnished by this bribery and corruption!

Besides, I had $50 riding on this

(Jesta was last seen wondering who his MP is)

PS: Congrats to the Paladin - the video was nice work

Hi Sheylara,

Haha! Even though I was behind the mask, but I was still self-conscious in front of my friend who is the videographer! LOL!

Hi Jesta,

Thanks! I’m glad you like it. It was worth the embarrassments of being laughed at by my friend, the videographer. Haha!

Jesta: Haha. Thanks for all the trouble you went through. It’s the thought that counts, right? Doesn’t matter whether I win or not. At least now I know who supports me and who loves me! ;)

Cobalt Paldain: lol… that’s weird, but yeah I can empathise with being self-conscious. Sometimes I still feel that way. :P
