Can’t afford to buy a piece of land in Dubai’s The World project?

How about buying a pixel on an internet world map?

Check out OneWorldToSee. It’s a travel blog for travelling buffs to share their stories. It’s also a fund-raising site for the owner to finance a round-the-world trip with his wife. He does that by selling off pieces of the world. I suppose it’s kinda like pixel advertising.

Well, it’s a very new site so there isn’t much content yet, but if you love travelling, you can contribute stories. I think it’s pretty neat.

How come I can never think of stuff like that? I need to raise funds for myself, too. For singing lessons! So, what do you think? What would I have to do to tempt people into donating to poor old me? :P

Mother: Maybe this one will do better cos there’s no expiry date? Means once you buy the pixels, your ad is there forever (or until they bring down the site).
